About This Item
Washington, DC: W.H. Moore, 1863. Paperback. 8vo. Wrappers. 36pp. Very good. Circular purple Rhode Island Historical Society inkstamp at upper left corner and small red accession label at upper right corner of front wrapper. Interesting discussion of the war, Lincoln's policies, slavery, etc. Blank inside front wrapper bears the bookplate of noted Lincoln collector George P. Hambrecht, founder of the Lincoln Fellowship of Wisconsin, who notes that he purchased it in 1921 for $2.50! First edition, a quite nice copy. Not in Monaghan. SABIN 12200 (in which "U.L.A." -- Union League of America -- is mistakenly transcribed as "U.S.A.").
