Printed by Meriden-Stinehour press on Superfine Paper from the Mohawk Paper Mills. Text composed in Linotronic Galliard with title and chapter headings set in Golden Cockerel type by Rampant Lions Press. Folio, special binding by Clare Skelton of red morocco spine, boards covered in red, green and blue silk in a triangle design, gilt titling to spine housed in a brown cloth slipcase. An exceptional copy.||This handsome study considers in detail the process behind the design and printing of the great Golden Cockerel Press Four Gospels. Dreyfus writes about the collaboration between Gibbings and Gill as one of the greatest printings of the Gospels.
