Cleveland, 1899. Unbound. 1 page, 10 x 8 inches, Cleveland, November 13, 1899. Hanna, whose financial backing helped elect William McKinley president, wrote this letter as a Senator from Ohio, declining to write an article for "Cosmopolitan" Magazine, in part: "...While I appreciate the compliment conveyed in your request, it is impossible for me to find time to prepare anything of that nature and I must necessarily decline all such propositions..." Heavy vertical folds and light creasing; partial bleeding of ink. Very good(-) condition.
