About This Item

New York: Barbara Flynn & Richard Bellamy, 1990. Deatiled text depicting Rabinowitch's philosophical relationship of planes and space in the room-sized works of the Tyndale Constructions (1982-1989). Rabinowitch's Sculpture for Max Imdahl belongs to that group of Tyndale Constructions conceived as interior volumes using all four directions, as many as three of which may be fenestrated. The masonry construction in these works is identified directly with the entire wall surface from floor to ceiling, and the masonry planes with their curved rings are thus separated from the fenestrated component of the sculpture. This work is an interior enriched, as in Medieval and Renaissance buildings, by what happens in and on its walls. 161 pgs. Illustrated. Dustjacket has a few tiny closed edge tears with minor rubbing to corners. In mylar. Scarce.. Limited Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Very Good. Oblong.
