1922 Scribner's 10th printing. 512 pages, with numerous illustrations, and two fold out maps.
William Hornaday was the first director of the Bronx Zoo, a prolific author, and pioneer in the wildlife conservation movement. This book, first published by Scribners in 1885, is an acknowledged classic in the field.
Condition of the book is Very Good Minus. The binding is straight and sound. Inside pages are complete and age toned. Condition issues include:
1) Moderate wear to the board cloth, including some wrinkling to the spine, and
2) Light soil to the top edge of the text block.
