Description:
The Paridigm Press / Bluntisham Books, 1984. 1984 reprint. hardcover. xxx, 315pp, 82 illustrations, folding map, original highly decorative green cloth, minor sunning to spine which is usual with this title, Fine. A beautifully produced reprint retaining much of the character and appearance of the First Edition. Scarce and desirable even in this format.. Armitage's narrative exposes the lighter and anecdotal sides of the expedition and contains occasional comment on the men's characters. He avoided divulging his personal feelings about Scott but in his autobiography was openly uncompplimentary to him. Two Years In The Antarctic is profusely illustrated by Wilson, contains photographic plates, as well as illustrations from The Blizzard, a shipboard publication stemming from the first winter.. Glacier Books are experienced and professional booksellers. We take pride in offering carefully described books and excellent customer service.
