About This Item

London: Jonathan Cape, 1960. First edition. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Very Good Indeed. 8" by 5.5". None. A first edition copy of this best selling novel by Irwin Shaw, first published in 1960, presented in a nicely illustrated dust-wrapper. First Edition. In the original price-clipped dust wrapper. This is one of many best-selling books by Irwin Shaw, titled 'Two Weeks in Another Town'. This work follows an American in his early forties who goes to Rome for two weeks on 'a banal errand'. While there, a 'bizarre, small accident' starts a train of events that impact his life in a very significant way. Irwin Shaw (1913-1984) was an American playwright, screenwriter, and novelist. His written works have sold more than fourteen million copies in total, including titled like 'The Young Lions' and 'Rich Man, Poor Man'. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding, in the original price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart, with minimal bumping and edge wear to the extremities and light fading to the spine. Dust wrapper is very smart, with minimal edge wear and chipping particularly to the spine region of wraps, with light age-toning and discolouration to the wraps, including the front as well as the reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean throughout. Very Good Indeed
