Octavo (21cm); original cloth (a bit dampstained) in black dust jacket printed in red; [2],iv,[4],156pp. Dampstain to upper jacket cover verso very faintly showing through to recto (though some damp spots showing on rear cover); top edge a touch shelf-worn with a few shallow chips not affecting text, else Very Good. "[T]his book answer the Mexican Government's assertion that it had legal justification for the recent seizure of foreign-owned oil properties" (from upper jacket flap). McMahon was, until 1938, head of the legal staff in Mexico of the Standard Oil Company.
