The children's book author & illustrator Beverly Ann Gedney (1937-2002) was a watercolor artist and sculptor. A teacher at Lorel Oaks Academy in Lake Suzy, Florida, she was a member of the Sarasota Art Guild and the Venice Art Guild. Gedney was listed in "The Outstanding Young Women of America". She authored and illustrated the children's book "Mystical Mountain" and also illustrated Kathleen C. Dahlquist's "The Little Brown Donkey".
