Garden City, New York, U.S.A.: Garden City Publishing Co., 1950. First Thus . Hardcover. VG-/Fair. Contains both "The Jungle Book" & "The Second Jungle Book" in one volume, complete & unabridged, in 245 pages. Originally published 1893-1895, this is a lovely Garden City Publishing Co. reprint c. 1950, one of a lovely collection of classic children's books, all cloth-bound hardcovers with a colored paper pastedown to the front board, each illustrated by a famous artist of the day. Inside is a full-color frontispiece that matches the front pastedown, artist unattributed. Condition is VG- (minus): generally very clean with the occasional random spot of soil or foxing. binding straight & strong, pages off-white & slightly tanned, but completely supple. A few are dogeared. The DJ is present, but only in Fair condition, with heavy edgewear all around & a large chunk missing from top inner front cover.
