Illustrated with black and white photographs and full page color paintings. Stated first American edition, first printing with full number line. A collection of essays, mostly dealing with Lawrence's extended sojourn to the lake Garda region and its environs. No previous ownership marks. Dust-jacket shows small tear at lower front fore-edge flap, now tape repaired on verso, and general very mild edge-wear. Book is clean, sound, and unmarked. Very good+ in a very good dust-jacket. .
