This was the author's first travel book, first published in 1916. A small book of travel essays by prolific author and poet, D. H. Lawrence; Lawrence describes his journey with poetic artistry, and also highlights the anxious atmosphere prevalent in Europe during the WWI. 224 pp. + adverts for The Travelers Library. The covers are clean. Corners slightly bumped, as is crown/heel of spine. Decorative spine is bright and undamaged. Clean, unmarked pages.No dust jacket as issued.
