[1], [1] (page of publisher's advertisements), [3], vi-vii, [2], 2-491, [7]; [5], vi-vii, [2], 3-526, [4] pp. Half contemporary smooth calf over marbled boards with the spines in six compartments, a green and a red morocco label on each spine, spines lettered and decorated in gilt; top edges gilt. Each volume illustrated with a frontispiece of one of the characters from the book. A beautifully bound copy of the sequel to Dumas' classic, The Three Musketeers. A Near Fine set with a touch of rubbing to the leather on the front board of volume two.
Synopsis
Twenty Years After is a novel by Alexandre Dumas, père. This sequel to The Three Musketeers and a book of the so-called D'Artagnan Romances (the third and last book being The Vicomte de Bragelonne, including the famous volume, The Man in the Iron Mask) was serialized from January to August, 1845.
