The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. The pages are clean with no soiling, writing, or tears. There is a book store stamp on the end papers. The copyright page shows 1946 as the only date. The dust jacket is about 99% intact with some light chipping on the top and bottom of the spine and there is a one inch chip on the bottom of the back. The DJ shows moderate soiling. I have placed the DJ in a fresh mylar jacket. We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box!

Although not indicated as such in the book, this copy is from the collection of sportswriter Paul "Dr. Z" Zimmerman and has what we imagine are burn marks from the ashes of his cigar. About very good with few small burn marks to cover and one to front pastedown. In good or better dust jacket with touch of rubbing to front panel affecting a few title letters, shallow chipping mostly to the spine ends, and small internal tape repair. Scarce.
