Heavier to endpapers and pastedowns.Pages have medium tanning and foxing throughout. Pencil mark to final page. Tear to edge of map. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Dents to edges of both boards. Wear marks overall.

Six fold-out color maps in Near Fine condition. Map titles: East Central Africa, Equatorial Africa, Slave Trade Map, Geological Sketch Map, and two political maps showing Divisions According to Agreements and Divisions According to Claims. Three maps each have a half to one inch closed tear, either not touching the map proper or just touching the edge with no affect on type or graphic information. Bookplate of Arthur H. Lancaster on front pastedown with a gift inscription from his wife on f.e.p. Corners bumped. Some light spots to bottom front board. 228 pp. with 16 pp. of ads.A clean, very fresh, tightly bound copy with late 19th Century maps.
