New York: McClure, Phillips & Co.. Near Fine with No dust jacket as issued. 1905. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. This is the original 1905 publication of Cather's first book of stories. This specific hardback book is in near fine condition with minimal wear and a hard board cover that has sharp edges and corners and a tight binding. There is some slight darkening to the spine area but the gold printed title block and publisher's info are all very legible. The pages are clean, crisp, unmarked and uncreased. There is a slight blemish to the upper inside cover and a brownish colored outlined square is on the last blank end page and inside the rear cover.
