Russian Engineer who served with Russian Field Artillery in WWI, escaped to France during the Revolution, fought in the Riff Campaign with the French Army, commanded Romanian Troops in the anti-Soviet Intervention and served as a British Officer in Hong Kong then with Special Operations amongst others in WWII. CONDITION blue bds with crisp gilt spine title, pp 262 with 20 bw photo plates, 4 maps and other monochrome illus, lineage charts and diagrams, tight and fresh.Original blue wrapper has 2 tiny tears one to spine and other to back, chips to head of spine, not scuffed nice and fresh.. First Edition. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
