Little, Brown, and Company, Boston, 1938. 5th printing. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good+ Condition/Good+. Illustrator: N.C. Wyeth. Book A clean, jacketed copy from the first year of publication following a limited edition. Robert's ode to his native Maine illustrated with color plates from paintings by N. C. Wyeth. Note: I have a large selection of Kenneth Roberts books and related materials. Contact me if you are looking for something in particular. Size: 8"-9" - Octavo (8vo). 394 pages. Item Type: Book. Text block is tight, bright and unmarked. Bound in tan cloth with title and illustration in green on the front cover and spine. Corners are sharp; minimal wear to the head and foot of the spine. The unclipped ($4.00) dust jacket has large chips at the head and foot of the folds, touching on the title at the head of the spine. The fold between the spine and front panel was completely separated and has been repaired with an archival paper tape. Two tears at the head and foot of the front panel have also been repaired. There is heavy surface wear along the folds to the front and rear flaps. The jacket is now protected in a clear archival Brodart sleeve. Illustrator: N.C. Wyeth. Quantity Available: 1.
