Repairs to lower inner margin of title page and leaf opposite. Blind stamp on title page. Jean Frederic Lobstein (1777-1835) is remembered for contributions made in the field of pathological anatomy. In 1813 he founded an impressive pathological museum in Strasbourg, a collection that remained intact until after the Franco-Prussian War, when the artifacts were lost. This English tradition of his work was translated from the original Latin, with notes, by Joseph Pancoast, an American surgeon.
