London: Printed for the Author and to be sold at Tycho Brahe's Head, 1766. 1st Edition. Very Good. Written by George Adams to support and explain his newly designed globes, gifted to King George III. Dedication to the King was ghost written by Samuel Johnson. Bound in calf with double rule gilded borders. Modern spine with title and author label and with gilded rules down the spine. Rubbing with slightly rounded corners and new endpapers. Complete with 3 plates, engravings, and tables within the text. Interior is toned, but otherwise clean and clear with minimal to no spotting. Also, containing a catalogue of additional works by the author, at the back.
