Whittier, CA: Penn Lithographics, 1974. Paperback. 152p., previous owner's rubberstamp on free rear endpaper, old price penned on free front endpaper, else very good condition. Signed by author on the free front endpaper. Nicholson was a Quaker Missionary to Japan and a minister at the all-Japanese West Los Angeles Methodist Church prior to World War II. During the war, he converted the church to a storehouse for the belongings of incarcerees and visited many of the camps offering support. Following the war, he raised money to send goats to Japan earning him the nickname "Uncle Goat.
