London: Alexander Strahan Publisher, 1866. First Edition. hard cover. Good/No jacket. With nineteen illustrations by F Kanitz. and 4 maps. London:Alexander Strahan, Publisher. 1866. 687pp. Hardcover. Ex-library. Boards are mottled and lightly soiled; the spine is faded and the Authors name and library number are written in white ink. Internally, a small library bookplate is on the inside front board and a small oval red library stamp is on the title page as well as all plates. There is foxing scattered througout, also affecting all maps and some plates. The hinges are intact and the binding is tight. The color map at page XV has a tear to a seam and the folding plate at page 5 has wear due to being folded poorly. Overall, a good solid copy.
