New York: Harcourt, Brace & Company. Near Fine with no dust jacket. 1928. Eighth Printing. Hardcover. Count Hermann von Keyserling (1880 - 1946) was a German social philosopher who began a world tour of Europe, Asia and North America in 1911. This work was published in 1919 and was quite popular--it was translated into English for the current edition. Index to both volumes in volume 2. Original gray cloth bindings with gilt spine lettering and top edges are also gilt. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings.; Frontis Portrait; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 338, 400 pages .
