About This Item
Ottawa : Government Printing Bureau , 1913 . First Edition . Good . 12MO . Four volumes in all. All volumes illustrated with photographs and with foldout maps in the text and in the rear pockets Published by the Geological Survey of Canada so a strong emphasis, unsurprisingly, on geology and land forms. Would have provided endless hours of pleasure for the knowledgeable train traveller of the day. All copies ex-library and with varying degrees of wear. Rear cover separated on Part 2 of C1, worn on the others and with tape repairs. All maps called for in the Contents are present except for a map of the Prairies in Part 2 of C1. This volume contains many other maps not called for in the TOC, presumably from another volume. A most interesting example of government tourist promotion immediately preceding the First World War.
