Labbé, Léon (1832-1916) and Paul Coÿne (1842-1913). Traité des tumeurs bénignes du sein. viii, 560pp. 2 chromolithographed plates; text illustrations. Paris: G. Masson, 1876. 216 x 132 mm. 19th-century quarter morocco, spine a bit worn and rubbed. Plates a bit foxed, light toning but very good, Presentation Copy, inscribed to Ricord on the title: "A mon illustre maître le Dr. Ricord hommage de respectueux dévouem[ent] L. Labbé" (inscription trimmed). Stamp of the Hôptal Cochin on the title and 2 or 3 other leaves.
First Edition. Labbé and Coÿne's treatise on benign tumors of the breast studied the complete evolution of these tumors, giving more comprehensive results on their pathology than any other work of its time.
