The diaries and accounts of Willoughby P. Lowe, a naturalist collector, and one of the last professional collectors, of the British Museum. The stories include: My First Venture Abroad, Expedition Through Kenya and Uganda to the Nile, A Trip to S. Nigeria, Sierra Leonne and Senegal, A Journey through Siam, and an Expedition to Madagascar. Illustrated by Henrik Gronvold, a Danish naturalist and artist known for his illustrations of birds, and J. P. W. Lowe, a British artist. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting and age toning to the endpapers. Good
