Pictorial Review. This is a cut-out of Santa (approx. 11 3/4"),taken from a magazine, PICTORIAL REVIEW?, early 1920's . The reverse side depicts part of an article: DAUGHTERS OF THE GOLDEN TREASURE CHEST: KEEPING UP THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT; encouraging young girls to join a selling organization to earn money for christmas presents, which claims to have been organized in the business office of the PICTORIAL REVIEW. This is a fragile piece. It has 3 closed tears approx.one of which measures: 2", one of 1/4", and a 1/2", these are mended with acid-free cosmetic book tape from the reverse side of the cut-out, and do not mar the appearance of the item.
