The first UK edition, second impression of this novel, an uncommon copy issued within the same year as the first. The UK edition preceded the first US edition, which was published later in the same year under the title Blood Shot. Mystery novel nominated for the 1989 Anthony Award for 'Best Novel,' it features Paretsky's character VI Warshwksi a hard-boiled private investigator as she agrees to investigate a friend's missing father from the past.Complete with the unclipped dust wrapper. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear and a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. The dust wrapper is unclipped and excellent. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Fine
