About This Item

New York: The Gay Presses of New York, 1981. Softcover. Very Good. First edition, later issue with the exclamation point on the front cover and description of the 1981 performance facing the table of contents. Neat stamp ("HK Hagstrom") inside front cover. Modest wear, inside front cover and facing half-title with heavy offsetting from newsprint (affecting the following few pages just a bit), very good and sound. Signed by Fierstein on the toned half-title. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play, and basis for the 1988 film directed by Paul Bogart, and featuring Fierstein, Anne Bancroft, and Matthew Broderick.
