[4], v-x, [1], 2-449, [1], [4] (pages of publisher's advertisements) pp. Red cloth with gilt lettering on the front board and spine; top edge gilt. Illustrated with a folding map in color, a frontispiece, and several plates done in black and white. Each hinge gently split, one of the plates detached but laid in, light green pencil marginalia.
