Chicago: Donohue, Heberry & Co., 1895. Hardcover. Fair. Vintage book, no dust jacket. Dark red boards covered in moire fabric, with gold titles and botannical motif on front and spine. Spine is darkened and faded. Endpapers are white moire. Gift inscription on front free end paper, dated 1896. Both front and rear end pages show dampstain in the gutter and along the bottom, which does not extend into textblock. Satin ribbon sewn-in bookmark. Pages are clean and unmarked, off white. Toilers of the Sea, by Victor Hugo, translated from the French original Les Travailleurs de la mer by W. Moy Thomas. Donohue, Henneberry & Co. hard cover, published 1890s, 392 pages. 12mo (5"" x 7.5"")
