About This Item

Cambridge, Massachusetts: Self-published, 1987. First Edition. Near Fine. First Edition. Typed letter signed from Noam Chomsky to "Evelyn" (Evelyn Fox Keller) on MIT watermarked paper regarding the Italian publisher Eleuthera books:

"My friends Amedeo Bertolo and rosella Di Leo, of Eleuthura books in Italy, wrote me that they'd contacted you about some possible collaboration and asked me to drop you a note about them. They're wonderful people, and doing very good work. They are from the quite strong and active anarchist community in Italy. I think they may have sent you a book of mine that they published. I've known them for quite a few years, and think very highly of them. Hope you'll give it serious consideration (whatever the project was --- they didn't tell me). Sincerely, Noam Chomsky" and signed in ink "Noam".

Letter is folded for mailing and with small stain to (blank) verso. Noam Chomsky is an American linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist, historian, social critic, and political activist.

Evelyn Fox Keller (born March 20, 1936) is an American physicist, author and feminist. She is currently Professor Emerita of History and Philosophy of Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Keller's early work concentrated at the intersection of physics and biology. Her subsequent research has focused on the history and philosophy of modern biology and on gender and science.
