Boston: Gregg Press. First Edition, Thus. Hardcover. Near Fine/Fine/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo., 221pp. Beautiful Stated "First Printing, April 1979", with a new introduction by Louis Stathis. The text is a facsimile of the original J.B. Lippincott First Edition. Bound in green cloth with titles in gilt upon a red spine label and the author's facsimile signature in gilt on front board. Frontis illustration by Hannah Shapiro. Square, tight and clean throughout. A bit of faint scattered spotting on the fore-edges. A cloth pull on the front board and hinge that appears to be a binding defect. No dust-jacket as issued. A very pretty collectable copy.
Synopsis
Time Out of Joint is a novel by Philip K. Dick, first published in novel form in the United States in 1959. An abridged version was also serialised in the British science fiction magazine New Worlds Science Fiction in several installments from December 1959 to February 1960, under the title Biography in Time. The novel epitomises many of Dick's themes, with its concern about the nature of reality, and ordinary people in ordinary lives having the world unravel around them.
