About This Item

Lake Luzerne, NY: Committee on Publication of Local History, 1979. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. A fine copy --tight and completely clean--with a very good dustjacket. Book has green cloth-covered boards and the dustjacket has a few short tears along the top and bottom. Written by a former editor of a Pennsylvania newspaper, the book traces of the history of Lake Luzerne, formerly called Fairfield, then Luzerne, and finally Lake Luzerne. The many black and white photos of workers in the timber industry, and then townsfolk with their fine horse teams and other common sights of those days make this an interesting book..
