New York: Lovell, Coryell and Company, 1893. First Edition, Second Issue. Near fine. Small 8vo., 7 3/8 x 5 inches (188 x 127 mm), pp. 270. Beautifully bound by Root & Son in red calf with gold fillets and rosettes on boards, 5 raised bands, gilt decoration and titles in compartments, turn-ins decorated in gilt, marbled endpapers, original spine panel with gilt title; one original dark navy buckram cover bound in, t.e.g., spine very lightly sunned and rubbed in spots; interiors clean and bright, firmly bound.

[Cutler 33]. This unauthorized collection of stories and articles first appeared in several Scottish and British publications between 1887 and 1892.

Sir James Matthew BARRIE, 1st Baronet, OM (1860 - 1937) was a Scottish novelist and playwright, best remembered as the creator of PETER PAN.
