About This Item

London, England: George Allen & Unwin Ltd., 1967. Uncorrected Proof . Soft cover. Acceptable/Acceptable. 8vo - 7.75 to 9.75" tall. Acceptable - this Uncorrected Proof is a bit of an oddity as the pages are sewn but a brown card cover has been attached like a paperback. The dust wrapper is present but is to large for the paperback and I believe was meant for the hardback first edition. The title, author and "Uncorrected Proofs" in on a typed label attached to the front cover and a book proof stamp with the date 4 Jul 1967. Stapled to the inside of the front cover is a printed note from the publisher with the text that is in the inside of the dust wrapper.Condition - the dust wrapper is heavily creased and is ragged at the edges with pieces missing, a cellophane wrapper has been added to prevent further damage, the volume itself is slightly cocked with bumped and rounded corners, there is light foxing down the fore edge, otherwise the contents are clean, bright and tight. Despite its condition this volume will be of interest to collectors of Anderson's first editions
