Delightful Thurber line sketches throughout. Light tan buckram over spine w/brown titles, with light brown paper-wrapped boards with "Thurber" imprinted on front board. Upper corner lightly bumped, faded area near upper edge, otherwise clean and unmarked. Tight and solid. Pages clean, no marks, toned. Most of the pieces in this book originally appeared in "The New Yorker". The rest of them were printed in other magazines--"The Bermudian", "Holiday" and "Cosmopolitan". The ones originally printed in "The Bremudian" (7) appear in this volume as their first publication in the US. Publisher: New York. Simon and Schuster, 1953.
