About This Item

Saginaw, Michigan: Rev. Gerald C. Abenth, 1989. Minor edge and corner wear, lightly scuffed and scratched, spine is lightly creased, gently shelf worn, former owner's inscription and a date in ink on the title page, overall a clean used first edition! Very very rare and hard-to-find! White wrappers with a black and white photograph of the author on the front and red and black lettering. Extremely scarce and out-of-print! 138 very clean unmarked and uncreased historical and poetic pages! "In this book we meet a person of great talent and energy, who in March of 1988 learned she had malignant melanoma (cancer). Her faith and attitude toward life enabled her to adjust from what could have been a brief episode to what became a nine month battle with an unknown factor which succeeded in bringing to an end the career of one whom many referred to as a 'musical Erma Bombeck'. By December she had entered the eternal kingdom of her Father in Heaven. At the time of her illness she had decided to cut back in her speaking engagements and take time to write some new material and perhaps a book." ----- from the Preface.. First Edition / First Printing. Trade Paperback. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
