Original orange cloth stamped in pictorial gilt. Top edge gilt. 44 black and white illustrations, 2 maps. 317, [1] pages, followed by publisher's catalogue. "Presentation Copy" emboss to title page. Light edgewear and bumping to boards, minor chip and creasing to rear endpaper. Faint foxing to endpapers.
