(i-xviii) 649pp. (i-xii) 605pp + index . Frontispiece portraits. Nearly 300 illustrations of photograph and drawings by the author. Large fold out color map at rear of each volume. Account of the Authors journeys through Asia during 1893-97. The Pamirs; Takla-Makan Desert; Mus-Tagh & its Glaciers. Map in volume 2 has a tear repaired with document tape.
