London: Victor Gollancz Ltd,, 1980. First edition, first impression, inscribed on the title page to the Australian science fiction writer "To John Baxter, Ursula K. Le Guin". The recipient John Baxter was also a science fiction novelist, alongside publishing many non-fiction works on science fiction in film, in a writing career spanning over half a century. Loosely inserted is a press cutting from a winter 1980 issue, reviewing this book. Octavo. Original green boards, spine lettered in gilt. With dust jacket. Corners a trifle bumped, the binding otherwise sharp, internally crisp. A fine copy in near-fine jacket, price-clipped, unfaded.
