New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1937. First Edition (stated). . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Caswell, Edward C.. Small octavo bound in wheat cloth with titles and decorations stamped in blue. First edition, with the number one in parentheses (1) on the last page of the text. Frontispiece and four internal illustrations on plain paper by Edward C. Caswell. 258 pages. The cloth shows on a hint of soil with just a touch of edgewear. Last three leaves roughly opened (one is a blank), but no loss of paper (likely uncut, then opened with a finger, not a tool). Hinges solid; binding square. A clean, tight, unmarked copy. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
