About This Item

First edition Hardcover Book in Dust Jacket. Near Fine with a square and tight binding and bright, clean and crisp contents. Very lightly bumped at tips. Jacket shows a hint of edge wear and is protected in a removable mylar cover. Brilliantly recreates life aboard a British Royal Navy mine-sweeper in the North Atlantic during WW II. Author was born into a family whose service in the British Navy dates to before the time of George Washington. A beautiful copy of this scarce book. Appears unread.
