About This Item

London: Collins, 1950-1951. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. 7.5" by 4.5". Not Stated. A bright trio of popular Agatha Christie novels published by the Collins Crime Club, in their original unclipped dust wrappers. Three novels in the publisher's original cloth bindings, with the original unclipped dust wrappers. Collins Crime Club, an imprint of William Collins, Sons & Co., ran from 1930 to 1994. Pre-war first editions in their vibrant dust wrappers are now particularly sought-after. Three Act Tragedy and Death in the Clouds, featuring the widely beloved Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, are both undated but estimated to be 1950 editions from the list of titles to the verso of the half-title, in which 'A Murder is Announced' is the most recent title listed. Poirot must link together three mysterious deaths in the former, and unravel a murder on an aeroplane flight in the latter. Also included in this selection is a 1951 edition of N or M?, in which the lively duo Tommy and Tuppence investigate two German spies. In publisher's original cloth bindings, with original unclipped dust wrappers. Overall, cloth remains bright and smart, with light shelf wear to the extremities and head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age toned. Tape repairs to the verso of the dust wrapper to Three Act Tragedy, reinforcing the chipped areas to the head and tail of the spine and folds of the flaps. Just some light shelf wear to the dust wrappers of Death in the Clouds and N or M. Overall, dust wrappers remain bright. Very Good
