Cloth. the front cover haswater damage to the edge and loss of board at the lower edge, there is some moderate water stain the the lower corners of the first 40 or so pages. Mounted on the half title page are two photos from 1987 sent to a previous owner by the American Research Center in Egypt. On the positive side, however, the half-title page bears an ink presentation inscription from Amelia B. Edwards to the Marquise de Balignac, and dated 1877. A rare presentation copy.; 4to .
