New York, New York, U. S. A.: Jacobsen Publishing Company, Inc.. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1930. First American Edition. Hardcover. This book was originally published in England under the title "The Madness of Monty, " which describes pretty much what the book is about. The spine is somewhat darkened and there is a very light vertical (5") and horizontal (1 1/2") mark on the front. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. .

Description:
New York: Jacobsen Publishing Co., Inc, 1930. Reprint. Hardcover with Dust Jacket. Very Good/Good+. 8vo. Pp. 325. Bound in orange cloth with black lettering on front board and spine. Top edge dust soiled. Leaves age-toned at extremities. In the illustrated dust jacket that shows edge-wear, a faint number "39" written on the spine, and chips to head and tail of spine. First published by England as The Madness of Monty and published in the U.S. by Putnam's under the title at hand, this early reprint presents a novel scarce in any edition with the dust jacket. The superb dust jacket in budget-limited colors nonetheless conveys the exoticism of a story set among expats in Tunis, showing a windblown couple at the rail of a moderne liner. Dust jacket is now preserved in a removable, clear archival sleeve. .
