New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, 1954. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Orig. black cloth. xii, 306 pp. Scoring to upper front board and upper front cover of dust jacket. Some light soiling to cloth. Small spot of wear to upper corner of front board. Ink gift inscription to ffep. Dust jacket is price clipped and cropped, sunned to spine, chipped at spine ends, rubbed to covers, a few short tears and some light creasing, damp staining to rear. In this book Karl Stern discusses the current controversy between psychiatry and religion, and maintains that their reconciliation is not only possible but necessary. His title alludes to the two preceding revolutions which gave determining roles to economics (Marxism) and to biology (Racism), with consequences which would have appalled the original theorists.
