Lipsiae, Sumptibus Io. Ambr. Barthii, 1844 1st. 4 Volumes in 2. Hardback, approx 9 x 5.5 inches. In full vellum fine bindings by “Mansell, Oxon.” Gilt crests to front and rear boards, with red leather spine labels lettered in gilt. Marbled endpapers and red page edges. In very good conditions. Some minor darkening to spines, some small spots and minor marks to boards. Binders stamps to corners of endpapers. Some foxing to pages throughout; some heavier foxing to some pages than others. Overall pages tight, bindings firm and sound. Else very good copies. xxiv + 361 & xvi + 403pp. / vii + 295 & xvi + 371pp.
