White, war correspondent in China during World War II, author of "Thunder Out of China", post-war years reporting on the recovery of Europe, author of "Fire in the Ashes", returned to America, wrote "The Making of the President" series, with Vol one a Pulitzer Prize winner, "America in Search of Itself", "In Search of History" --and many more books and essays. He died in 1986. This book is bound in grey half cloth with gilt titles, grey boards. Very clean and unmarked; lower edges lightly rubbed; top edge with light rem. mark. Internals in fine condition, double column format. Front of jacket is clean, light edgewear, spine head chipped, rear side with light scratch marks. 681 pages. 9.6 x 6.75 inches. 1992, Pantheon Books, New York, New York, U.S.A.
