Albany: Published by The United Society, Called Shakers; Van Benthuysen, Printer, 1856. Fourth Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine. 8vo. FOURTH EDITION, 1856. Hardcover. Beautifully rebound in a quarter taupe publisher's cloth and light sand/tan textured paper. Boards are plain. A cream label is affixed to the spine with black lettering. All edges are sprinkled in a taupe ink. Contents are separated into ten "books" with corresponding chapters. Contains appendix as well as "Locations of the Society" at the back. xiv, 631 pp. <br><br>CONDITION: Binding is rebound and lovely without wear and corners are perfectly crisp. Textblock is strong and unmarked. Most leaves are nicely bright, but a number of pages have unevenly toned and there is presence of foxing occasionally throughout. Pages turn very easily. Binding is solid. Very lovely copy. Full refund if not satisfied.
